Photographing mine sites all over the country usually entails being out in the outback far away from most cities, even from rural and remote townships. During the course of our shoots, sometimes you encounter the most wonderful wildlife - whether they permanently live on site, nest adjacent to a water catchment, hunt across site, or simply passing through on there way somewhere else. Whatever the scenario, there's often something wonderful to encounter amongst the enormous mining equipment and wonderful mine staff that manages them.
This photo gallery illustrates some of the wildlife that CMEPS has encountered whilst being on site which call some mine sites home. And it's in our observation, most of the animals we see are often and carefully monitored and cared for by the mine operator. We hope through this gallery that it goes some way to demonstrate and educate, that wildlife CAN equally co-habitate, even prosper in the mining world.
